TX STATE SPECIFIC REQUIREMENTS

 

Nippon Life Insurance Company of America (Nippon Life Benefits), will apply normal plan provisions to telemedicine and telehealth services received from participating in-network providers for services rendered on or after January 1, 2018. These services may be subject to a deductible, a copayment or coinsurance per policy provisions. The amount of the deductible, copayment or coinsurance may not exceed the amount required for a covered health care service/procedure provided through an in-person consultation. Nippon Life Benefits is not required to provide coverage for these services when they’re provided only by audio interaction, including an audio-only telephone consultation, a text-only email message or a facsimile transmission.
